Two different jobs
| Job | Per sq ft | About 600 sq ft | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pressure washing ahead of sealer | $0.35 to $0.80 per sq ft | $210 to $480 | HomeGuide figure if the wash is separate |
| Clean, re-sand, and seal | $1.50 to $3.25 per sq ft | $900 to $1,950 | HomeGuide full visit, national typical |
| Pro maintenance visit | $300 to $800 | Depends on size | Angi driveway upkeep visit, not a per-foot rate |
When sealing can wait
New concrete pavers often show efflorescence, a white haze from minerals in the paver. Give it time. Sealing a damp surface, or sealing the same day as new polymeric sand, can leave a film. Pool decks have an extra problem: a glossy topical sealer can be slippery. The sealing and cleaning page explains penetrating sealers versus wet-look films.
What changes the price locally
- Irrigation rust, common on light pavers beside sprinklers in Palm Coast, Port Orange, and DeLand.
- Oak tannins and mildew in the shade.
- Salt crust on beachside decks in Daytona Beach Shores, Ormond-by-the-Sea, and New Smyrna Beach.
- Joints that are empty. Re-sanding is part of a real seal, and it needs dry weather.
- A dip in the field. Sealer will not lift a settled paver. That is a repair.
There is no single correct interval. A sunny driveway might go several years. A shaded patio or a beach deck might want a wash yearly and sealer every 2 to 4 years, depending on the product. Treat any schedule printed on a jug as a starting point.
Two publishers, two sealing numbers
HomeGuide's August 16, 2024 sealing page says a clean, joint sand, and seal runs $1.50 to $3.25 per square foot. Small jobs under 500 square feet are $2.20 to $3.25. Medium jobs are $1.75 to $2.95. Pressure washing alone, if done ahead, is $0.35 to $0.80. The page says sealer often lasts 3 to 5 years, and that solvent-based films can be slippery and can haze if moisture is trapped. Water-based product on that page is $42 to $70 a gallon and solvent-based is $32 to $55, as product prices, not installed prices. Angi, on its driveway page updated October 15, 2026, says sealing maintenance is $1 to $3 per square foot every 3 to 5 years, and that a pro visit often runs $300 to $800. Last checked November 1, 2026. Use HomeGuide when you mean the full clean, sand, and seal. Use Angi when you mean the maintenance interval they published.
What a Volusia visit usually finds
The national band does not tell you which stain you have. Irrigation rust is the orange fan next to a sprinkler head, common on light pavers in Palm Coast, Port Orange, and DeLand. Oak tannin is the brown shadow under a live oak. Mildew is the dark film on a patio that never dries. Salt crust is the pale coat after a windy week on the Shores, Ponce Inlet, or Ormond-by-the-Sea. Tire marks are the black paths on a driveway. A single price per square foot covers the wash, the sand, and the film. It does not cover a second day of rust chemistry. If the quote is far under HomeGuide's $1.50, ask which of those stains they are declining to treat.
Angi's $300 to $800 pro visit is a different shape of number. It is a trip total, not a rate. On a 200 square foot front walk, that visit can cost more per foot than the $1.50 to $3.25 band, because the crew still comes. On a 1,000 square foot drive, the per-foot band is the fairer comparison and the trip total may sit inside it. Put both on the table when you compare two companies. And if the field has a dip, neither number lifts the paver. Send that job to repair before you pay for a film.

Questions homeowners ask
How much does it cost to seal pavers in Daytona Beach?
HomeGuide's clean, sand, and seal band is $1.50 to $3.25 per square foot, about $900 to $1,950 for 600 square feet. Pressure washing alone is $0.35 to $0.80 per square foot on that page. Last checked November 1, 2026. These are not quotes.
Is a cheaper wash enough?
If the joints are full and you only have light dirt, sometimes yes. If the sand is gone or the surface is stained with rust, a rinse will disappoint you.
Can I seal pavers myself?
A small patio is a reasonable DIY if you use the right product and the forecast is dry. Driveways and pool decks are easier to haze or to make slippery. Many people request a pro for those.
Do you sell sealer?
No. Daytona Pavers matches you with a local company. We do not sell product and we do not do the work.
Why did the sealing band on this site change?
Earlier pages used a $1 to $3 band without a link. HomeGuide's full-service band is $1.50 to $3.25. Angi still publishes $1 to $3 as a maintenance figure. Both are cited now. Last checked November 1, 2026.
